Obituary for Flora Mastandrea

Flora Mastandrea of W. Harrison, died February 10, 2018 at White Plains Hospital, two days short of her 101st birthday. Beloved wife of the late John J. Mastandrea Sr. She was born February 12, 1917 in Bridgeport Ct to the late Gaetano (Thomas) and Angela (nee Brescia) Spiconardi. She moved to White Plains as a young child and in the early 1950’s moved to W. Harrison, where she has resided since.
She was a member of the St. Anthony of Padua Church, the West Harrison Senior Citizens and of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Lt. Joseph R. Girillo VFW Post # 5463 in West Harrison.
She is survived by her children; Mr. John J. (Carol Ann) Mastandrea of Nanuet, NY, Mr. Robert (Anabel) Mastandrea of Vero Beach, FL and Mrs. Sue DeMarsico of White Plains, NY., her seven grandchildren; Mr. Damon Mastandrea of Philadelphia, PA, Ms. Denise Bowler of Wingdale, NY, Mrs. Joanne (Michael) Filippone of West Nyack, NY, Mr. Robert (Michelle) Mastandrea of Arcadia, CA, Mrs. Lynne (Joseph) Hiortdahl of Saugus, CA, Mr. Stephen (Donna) DeMarsico of W. Harrison, NY and Mr. Michael DeMarsico (Paul Ringer) of West Haven, CT. Also surviving are seven great grandchildren; Nicole and Michael Filippone, Antonia Bowler, Casey DeMarsico, Aaron Mastandrea and Jasmine and Isabel Hiortdahl. She is predeceased by her sisters, Mrs. Carmela Audia, Mrs. Agnes (Dolly) Cole and Julia Spiconardi and her brothers, Nicholas, James, Vito and Julio Spiconardi and a Son in Law Stephen J. DeMarsico.
In lieu of flowers donations to the following organizations would be appreciated. Fisher House Foundation, Rockville, MD or Alzheimer’s Foundation of America, New York, NY.
