This year marks the 75th Anniversary of the McMahon, Lyon & Hartnett Funeral Home Inc. The McMahon family has been continuously serving White Plains and the surrounding communities for 3 Generations. Frank McMahon started the funeral home in 1942, his daughter Marie F. McMahon is currently President of the funeral home and Frank's granddaughter Katherine Buckley has been a funeral director here for the past 10 years. We are honored to have served our community and look forward our continued service to all who may need it.
We are pleased to announce that integrated on our website is a full Concierge Service. Families from out of town can book Hotels, Airlines and Rental Cars right from our website. You simply click on the persons "Book of Memories" and then click the tab on the left marked Concierge Services. We will continue to add services as they become available to us.

Recently, Marie McMahon was recognized as a “Pillar of the Community”. A Woman’s Club member for more than 34 years and President of the McMahon, Lyon & Harnett Funeral Home, Marie has displayed outstanding dedication to our Club’s Mission and serves as a wonderful example to all of us as a hardworking and successful business woman. She is a tireless community servant, dedicating herself to numerous charitable organizations including Peace OUTside Campus, White Plains Beautification Foundation, Our Lady of Sorrows Church and many athletic programs in our area.

We are proud to now offer a Q & A session regarding Pre Planning of a funerals. Topics will include all that is needed as well as if you would simply like to arrange or pre-pay for services. We will be glad to set up a session at your church or club to go over all of this very important information. In order to serve our families better and more comfortably, we are pleased to say 2 New Hearses and 1 New Limo has been delivered. With these new vehicles we will be able to continue serving our families with the most professional staff as well as the most up to date equipment available to the funeral industry.
On May 7th we unveiled our new upgraded website. We hope you will find this new website easy to use. We are constantly trying to update our services. This website will not only serve as a place for information about a loved ones funeral services but also a place to turn when you have a question about funerals. You can always view someone's "Book of Memories", by clicking on their name, and leave a condolence note for the family or simply light a candle in their memory or order flowers for their funeral. There is also a wealth of information on the website for those seeking information on pre-planning a funeral.

We would encourage anyone who has made pre-arrangements with us to periodically review them. If you would like to make any changes to them you can always call, stop in or email us to do this. We would be happy review them with you and in so doing we would be able to update our files to match yours as well.
We are constantly trying to improve our service towards the families that we serve and are pleased to tell you that we have installed Flat Screen Monitors in 2 of our chapels so that families can view slideshows of their loved ones. All that is needed are digital photos on a USB (Memory Stick) or a USB Cable from a Laptop Computer.
We are an Authorized Provider of the Remembrance Process. This is an online resource to help families through the process of dealing with the loss of a loved one.
