Condolence From: Jonathan Leichter
Condolence: I was shocked and deeply saddened to hear that Doc had passed away. My condolences to all his friends and family. While we have not been in touch for decades, Doc meant a lot to me and had a great impact on my life. In 1968 he let me tag along to Ridgeway Country Club to go caddying with him. It was still the best ( and worst) job I ever had. I spent my youth at the golf course with him. The work ethic, social skills and perseverance that I learned from him on the golf course has served me well my entire life. He will be missed by all that knew him

Condolence: My family and I left White Plains-Battle Hill area late '70's. I've tried to get back to visit family/friends every year since. Trips however were never long enough to reunite with old Battle Hill friends, to catch-up and reminisce about the wonderful childhood we had growing up on the "Hill!!" I think last time I saw Doc was in 1984 at 10 yr WPHS reunion. His wife, sisters and I were in same class one year behind his. Doc was always friendly, curious, concerned and memory like an elephant! With the advent of Facebook as means to reconnect with friends and family living afar Doc reached out to me 4-5 years ago and looped me back into the fraternity of people who grew up on Battle Hill in '50's, '60's and '70's. We caught up and I was very happy to learn the bond we had as children is still there!! Although I rarely make posts on FB I always looked forward to learning what was going on with BH peeps and that all started with Doc! We played on same little baseball team WP Dodge. Doc Sr was coach. Never forget! My deepest sympathies to Debbie, his Mom, kids, grandkids and Roseanne and Joanne. God bless! Mike Scatoloni
