Obituary for John Bogetti

John Bogetti, of Tuckahoe, NY, passed away June 17, 2017. He was 74. John was born September 14, 1942 in NYC to Peter and Mary (nee Simonelli) Bogetti.

For 20 years John worked as a NYC Police Officer until his retirement in 1989. He enjoyed his retirement with his hotdog business at Ditch Plains Beach in Montauk, NY. He enjoyed spoiling his grandchildren and spending time with his wife Joyce whom he married October 20, 1962 in Tuckahoe, NY.

Besides his wife Joyce, John is survived by two children; John Bogetti Jr., and James Bogetti. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren; Jenna, Jamie, James Max, Cooper, Kaya, Georgica, Zach, Baye, and Johnny, his brother Peter J. Bogetti, 3 sisters; Clara Z. Bogetti, Marlene Costello and Marie Helena Bogetti and his brother-in-law Fred Greco.

John was predeceased by his son Jeffrey Bogetti.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in John’s name to the Brian Tumor Center at Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital.
