Obituary for Rodney Alexander Fulton

Rodney Alexander Fulton was born in Elizabeth, New Jersey on June 4, 1969. He was the seventh of ten children, born to the late James Eugene and Eary Louise Fulton. Rodney was educated at Elizabeth High School where he loved to have a great time and was always the jokester. Rodney held many jobs, however, he created many close friendships with his co-workers at Sprint. Rodney’s exuberant personality and sense of humor made him a valuable part of the staff.
Although Rodney’s time on earth was brief, he made every minute count. He loved spending time with his family and friends. He loved grilling, socializing and enjoying life! If anyone needed a laugh, they could count on Rodney to give it to them. He was the family comedian. He had running jokes with each of his siblings.
Rodney was preceeded in death by his parents and older brother, Arnold Fulton; however, he leaves many family and friends to cherish his memory. We have a hole in our hearts now that Rodney is gone, but our fond memories of him will fill it.
He is survived by his companion, Jennifer Hernandez; his children: Rodney, Jr., Fernando, Isaiah, Allyssa and Myah; his grandson, Aiden Lee; five brothers: William (Kelly) Fulton of Raleigh, NC, James-Oliver Fulton of Brooklyn, NY., Yussef Fulton of San Diego, CA., Idris (Shonda) Fulton of Atlanta, GA. and Ahmad Fulton of Morristown, TN., and his sisters: Effie (Don) Fulton-Thomas of Mansfield, OH., Lisa Fulton-Spivy of San Antonio, TX. and Rita Fulton-Ortiz of Morristown, TN. Rodney is also survived by a multitude of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends who will always remember his kind loving ways.

THERE ARE NO WORDS

There are no words…what can I say?
At last his sweet soul winged its way
To Peace and freedom in the sky
Where never again will he suffer or cry.

The pain of living grew too great
No longer could he stay and wait;
He did not want to leave you, dear
But he had finished his work down here.

So he closed his eyes and when he awoke,
These are the words the Master spoke…
“Welcome, dear child, you are Home at last,
And now the burden of living is past.”
‘There’s work for you in My Kingdom, dear
And you are needed and wanted here.’
So weep not, he has just gone on ahead,
Don’t think of him as being dead.

He’s out of sight for a little while,
And you’ll miss his touch and his little smile,
But you know he is safe in the home above
Where there is nothing but Peace and Love.

And, surely, you would not deny his peace…
And you’re glad that he has found release
Think of him there as a soul that is free,
And Home at last, where he wanted to be.
