Obituary for Frank J. Sibilia

Frank Sibilia, 80, of Traverse City, Michigan passed away with his wife at his side, on Thursday, April 27, 2017 after a long illness. He was born on September 4, 1936 in White Plains, New York, to John & Grace Sibilia.
He married Carol Whited, the love of his life in 1962. They enjoyed 54 years of joyful marriage. Frank proudly served in the US Marine Corp from 1955 - 1959. He became a firefighter for the City of White Plains, New York, and served for 22 years.
He was most proud of the home that he and his wife built in Somers, New York and raised their 3 children. Gardening, fishing & birding were his most happy endeavors. Frank was a talented stonemason, woodworker & artist. His children and grandchildren have benefited from his extensive knowledge of history, gardening and never ending love of the NY Yankees.
He is survived by his wife Carol (Whited) Sibilia. His Children: Dania (Michael) Cannon of Traverse City, Michigan, Frank (Mary Rose) Sibilia of Somers, New York & Mark (Nicole) Sibilia of New Milford, Connecticut. His Grandchildren: Kathleen, Lauren, Kellie, Sara, Kari, Grace, Jakob & Jack. He is also survived by 2 sisters: Mary (Dominic) Iodice & Margie (Robert) Patrick. As well as many relatives who will truly miss him.
A Celebration of Life will be held i on May 20, 2017. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your favorite charity. Frank’s family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the many people & caregivers who have helped him through his final years.
