Sadie (Santina Domenica) Plati of Briarcliff Manor, and a long-time resident of White Plains, passed away on April 10. She was 85.

Born to Domenico and Giovanna Spadaro, Sadie graduated from White Plains High School in 1951 and married Anthony Plati of New Rochelle in 1956. Sadie, who worked at B. Altman & Co and Berkley College, was a fantastic cook known for her simple but delicious Italian cooking as well as a wonderful grandmother.

In addition to her husband of 61 years, Sadie is survived by her son Peter (Alison) of Mount Vernon, her devoted and caring daughter Toni Ann Plati of Ossining, her 3 grandsons, Anthony, Michael, and Christopher Plati, her sister Victoria (Michael) Ferretti of Hartsdale and her brother Peter Spadaro Sr. of Pelham. She is predeceased by her brother Louis (Clara) Spadaro and sister Vincenza (Frank) Fragala.
