Obituary for Vivian Rose Calli (Sanchez)

Print
Vivian Rose Calli, a White Plains resident, died February 1, 2017 at the age of 71. She was born May 5, 1945 in White Plains to the late Frank and Emma Sanchez.
Vivian worked for many years for the Scavone Insurance Center in White Plains.
She is survived by her daughter Sharon Rose Jokhadze her son-in-law George Jokhadze and her grandchildren, Maya, Niko and Luca. Also surviving are her beloved nieces, Laura Kulers and Christina Barton. She is predeceased by her sisters, Teresa Sanchez and Linda Kulers.
It is with great sadness that I am posting that my Mom has passed away; the women that has given me all of her love and all of her soul. She was my mother, she was my best friend, she was my confidant, and she put a touch of magical love in everything she did for me. She nursed me well during countless childhood asthmatic episodes. My Mom coached me to navigate through the trials and tribulations of adolescence and those of many of my friends likewise. Thirty yeas ago she no longer could walk long distances, but she would have walked around the globe in a heartbeat for me. Twenty years ago, she was diagnosed with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and Chronic heart disease, but she would have run a marathon if it would better me in any way. Twelve years ago she lost both of her sisters in the same year, even though it damaged her heart and soul forever, she still loved me to the moon and back and did not let it show. Three years ago she somersaulted backwards down a flight of 15 narrow stairs and broke her neck in two places and had to be put on a respirator for 10 day nightmarish days; It was a four month nightmare but she came back smiling and ready to still offer her unconditional love and support to me. She lost 100lbs with hard work and determination. It is an accomplishment that astounds me. She smoked for about 15 years as much as two packs a day, but when I was ten, she threw them out because they were killing her and she never succumb to them. This Christmas she wrote, " I love my family with all my heart, especially, my grandchildren;Maya, Niko and Luca." She may have lost lots of her health and parts of her short tern memory, but she has never lost her heart, her spirit, and her passion. She left that with us and we will hold it with us always in all of us!
